Arkil Vejservice supervises and maintains roads and green areas. This includes waste collection, snow clearing and salting, grass mowing, cleaning of toilets, changing of guardrails and road marker posts as well as setting up roads signs. In addition to this, Arkil Vejservice establishes and maintains green areas.
Arkil was one of the pioneers in private road servicing in Denmark. As early as in 1978, the company ventured into the maintenance of green areas and road sections; an area which had until then almost exclusively been the domain of either the counties or local authorities.
Today, Arkil Vejservice is one of the largest, private suppliers on the Danish market supervising and maintaining several state and local roads all across the country.
Equipment operation and leasing
Arkil Vejservice has a vast and varied assortment of equipment and machinery for many specialised jobs in relation to the maintenance of roads and green areas. This equipment may be leased by others when we are not using it.
Arkil Vejservice furthermore maintains equipment and machinery for both private and public sector clients.
State roads
Arkil Vejservice supervises and maintains a large portion of the state road network which includes the motorways and the county roads that became part of the state road network when the counties were abolished. Supervision and maintenance include:
- Cleaning.
- Maintenance of ditches and shoulders as well as ducts and wells.
- Signs and guardrails.
- Grass mowing and planting.
- Maintenance of service areas.
- Winter service.
Local authorities and private clients
Today, Arkil Vejservice is in charge of all supervision and maintenance of the road network in municipalities such as Aabenraa og Sønderborg. This includes:
- Roads, service areas and winter service.
- Bridges and buildings.
- Minor road changes, pavements and paths.
- Green areas.
- Outdoor areas next to industrial plants and housing associations.
