There has been an intense activity on Denmark’s northernmost naval station this year. Here have Arkil Fundering & Vandbygning established itself. Sheet piles are framed in the quayside and additionally the task is to expand the docks significantly. In total 1570 meter bulwark are renewed and 700 meter new bulwark are established.
In total, the naval station is renovated for almost 300 million DKK.
Between the new dock and the existing part of the pier in the southern area of the naval station, a basin is filled, creating more space for containers and car parking.
The basin is dredged 1 meter, making it 8 meter deep in total. A new slipway is established as well as the renovation of the electric installations.
The naval station needs more storing space, and therefore a part of the job is to fill up the pier completely, which bounds the navy’s area to the south. Arkil Anlæg, Aalborg, does the construction- and face work.
