In 2015, the Municipality of Tønder decided to put the management of the municipal parks and roads out to tender.
After a long round of bidding, Arkil was awarded the six-year contract to maintain roads, green areas and waterways, as well as provide winter services such as snow clearance for the entire municipality.
The contract also entails caring for the area's marshlands and waterways, and providing asphalt and surfacing work.
As part of the contract responsibilities, Arkil will also check on wells, roadside and drainage areas, planted trees and bushes, as well as maintain signs, crash barriers and other equipment.
