Arkil has entered into a seven-year sewer renovation contract with Silkeborg Forsyning in the Danish town of Kjellerup. A large section of the town currently has a shared sewage system, and Arkil will work with the other project partners on the separation of a catchment area of roughly 80 hectares and the construction of a large rainwater reservoir.

The project is scheduled for execution in 7–8 phases, and along the way there will be focus on internal project optimisation as well as close cooperation with the local stakeholders in Kjellerup.
It is the biggest combined sanitation project ever undertaken for Silkeborg Forsyning.
The project in Kjellerup is being carried out as partnering project.
A partnering arrangement means that utility companies are better able to:
Share in the contractor's knowledge and experience in the area
Continually optimise the project in partnership with the contractor
Share in the savings brought about by these capacity improvements.
